Boohoo Alert: Colorado lawmakers want to stop life insurers from underwriting based on travel plans

“The bill would prohibit insurance companies from discriminating based solely on one’s foreign travel. The measure has passed through the Senate and now awaits hearings in the House.
“I’m learning there are a lot of businesspeople out there who have been denied coverage or charged excessive amounts” because of their travel plans, Shaffer said. ”
Chalk another one up for attempted lack of accountability by people for their own behavior. If you travel to these countries, you should be charged more. It’s a risk factor, bubby.
“Israel may be the Holy Land, but it is among 26 countries on the U.S. State Department’s travel warning list.
It’s there beside Afghanistan, Bosnia- Herzegovina, Iran, Iraq, Somalia, Sudan, Uzbekistan and Yemen.”
